ENTERING THE KNIGHT
The Knights (4-7-3, 2-1-1 NEC) are on a two-match winning streak after picking up a big road victory Sunday at Bryant. Junior
Jackson Bennett netted what proved to be the winning goal in the 58th minute, and junior goalkeeper
Amanda Fitzgerald recorded her third shutout of the season in the 1-0 victory. The win tied the Knights with Bryant for third place in the NEC standings with seven points.

GREAT WALL OF FITZGERALD
The junior goalkeeper for the Knights made four saves and recorded her 10th career shutout in the 1-0 win over Bryant. She increased her season saves total to 63, good for third in the NEC. Her 1.16 goals-against-average ranks fourth in the conference as well. For her career, Fitzgerald has made 279 saves, the third-most among all active juniors in NCAA Division I.

CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOK
Senior
Elma Kolenovic notched her team-leading fourth assist of the season on Bennett's game-winning goal Sunday. With the assist, she earned her 52nd point of her career, tying her for fourth on the all-time FDU points list. Kolenovic with her next point will move into a tie for third on the list, and she is three points away from climbing up to second all-time.

SERIES SCORE
LIU Brooklyn leads the all-time series against FDU, 12-8, but LIU has not defeated FDU since 2013. The Knights have won four straight meetings and five of the previous six matchups, including last season's 2-1 overtime match in Brooklyn. FDU has a 4-5 record against the Blackbirds when playing at University Stadium.

SCOUTING LIU BROOKLYN
The Blackbirds (2-9-3, 0-3-1 NEC) have lost five of their previous seven games, with the other two matches ending in draws. In their most recent game, the Blackbirds fell in overtime to Wagner, 1-0, at home, and their only NEC point this season came in a 1-1 draw against Mount St. Mary's. Senior Marian Awad leads the team with seven goals and 14 points, both of which rank third in the conference, and freshman Emily Poole has recorded a team-high three assists. Sophomore Megan Virgin has started each of the previous two matches in goal, and she has totaled 47 saves with 14 goals allowed in 664 minutes over eight matches.

AROUND THE NEC
First-place Central Connecticut (12 points) plays a big match Friday against Bryant (seven points) in a match that could influence playoff seedings. Wagner and Sacred Heart also play Friday afternoon, and second-place Saint Francis U (10 points) goes to Robert Morris for a Saturday afternoon match. A loss by SFU and a win for Knights would move the Knights into a tie with SFU for second place ahead of the team's matchup next weekend in Teaneck.
