HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson volleyball team will look to avenge last weekend's loss to Rider when the Broncs come to the Rothman Center on Tuesday night.
The Knights (3-7) squared off against the Broncs (4-6) at last weekend's Friar Classic in Providence and dropped the match 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 25-16).
Both teams were blanked 3-0 by the host Friars, while Rider also played an additional match against St. Francis Brooklyn and earned a straight-set win.
SCOUTING RIDER
The Broncs are off to a 4-6 start with all four wins coming against the Northeast Conference. The team has topped Sacred Heart once and St. Francis Brooklyn twice to go along with last weekend's win over the Knights. They'll be looking to remain unbeaten against the conference when they face the Knights for the second time on Tuesday night. Offensively, the Broncs are led by junior Hailey Riede and senior Jennifer Borio, who have each totaled 88 and 76 kills this season, respectively. Senior setter Veronica Koval runs the offense and has dished out 150 assists this season. Senior setter Veronia Koval runs the team and has 287 assists on the season. The Broncs hold a 17-9 lead in the all-time series with the Knights.
ALL-TOURNAMENT AGAIN
For the second time this season, the Knights' freshman setter
McKenna Setterlund garnered All-Tournament Team honors. Setterlund, who was named All-Titan Tournament at Cal State Fullerton, was selected to the Friar Classic's All-Tournament Team this past weekend. The freshman setter is ranked third in the NEC in assists with 279 and is averaging 8.21 assists per set on the season.

Magdalena Maksimovic amassed a new career-high 16 kills against Rider on Saturday morning. The freshman is off to a great start to her career, leading the Knights with 80 kills (2.35 k/set).

Carly O'Sullivan has anchored the Knights' defense all season long. O'Sullivan is averaging 4.44 digs per set and has logged 20+ digs in three different matches this season.

The Knights return to the road for their final regular-season tournament when they play two matches this Saturday, September 16 at the Lafayette Invitational in Easton, Pa. The first match features the Knights against NJIT at 11:00 a.m. and they close the day against the host Leopards at 3:00 p.m.
