BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Despite a strong performance from starter Corey Zeller, the Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team was unable to complete the three-game sweep of Wagner, falling 3-0 in Saturday's series finale on Saturday night.

The Knights (4-10, 2-1 NEC), received a stellar performance from Zeller, who pitched all eight innings, scattering four hits and allowing three runs, while striking out seven but were unable to break out against Wagner (3-12, 1-2 NEC) starter Danny Marsh.

Zeller's lone blemish was a three-run home run that he allowed in the third inning but it proved to be all the run support Marsh would need as the Seahawks' right-hander dealt a complete-game shutout.

Marsh limited the Knights to just five hits on the evening and struck out nine, en route to the victory.

The Knights threatened in the top of the first after Bobby Romano singled and stole second but Marsh turned them away by striking out the next batter.

In the home third, a single and a walk set the stage for Wagner first baseman Phil Capra, who promptly emptied the bases with a three-run homer to right field, which accounted for all the game's runs.

The Knights left two men on in the fourth and sixth innings as Marsh kept them off of the board and preserved his team's three-run lead and the win.

In the loss, five different Knights recorded one hit including Evan McDonald, who now has at least one knock in each of the last six games. The loss also snapped the Knights' four-game winning streak.
