STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team is set for a rematch of last season's NEC Championship Game when they travel to Staten Island to take on Wagner this Wednesday, March 1 in the 2017 NEC Tournament Quarterfinals.
The sixth-seeded Knights (11-18, 9-9 NEC) will face the No. 3 Seahawks (15-13, 11-7 NEC) at Spiro Sports Center with tip-off set for 7:03 p.m. The game will air on MSG+ and NEC Front Row. Check out the FDU notes and Wagner notes below for detailed information on both squads.
The teams met twice this season with each team coming away with a victory on the opposition's floor. On January 5 in Staten Island, despite two chances for the Seahawks in the waning seconds, the Knights held on for a thrilling 70-69 victory. Wagner returned the favor with a 68-59 victory in Hackensack on February 4.
