Knights Baseball Set for Three-Game Weekend at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team is set to play three games this weekend at Davidson College beginning on Friday afternoon against Lehigh University.

The Knights (0-3) will look to rebound after dropping a series of close games at Savannah State last weekend.

First up for FDU is a familiar foe in the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh University. The Knights have won six straight against Lehigh, including a four-game sweep last season. Friday's contest marks the 2017 season opener for the Mountain Hawks.

After Lehigh, awaits a Saturday matchup with UMass Lowell. These two squads squared off back in 2015 with each team earning a victory. The River Hawks are off to a 1-3 start after opening the season with four games against UConn. The team dropped the first three games –played in Port St. Lucie, Fla. – before claiming last Sunday's series finale 11-8.

The Knights wrap up the weekend against host Davidson on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats are 2-2 with a pair of wins over Georgetown in their season-opening series. In their last outing, the team suffered a 12-11 setback to High Point University in extra innings. Sunday's contest will be broadcast on the A10 Network.
