No. 8 Women's Bowling Finishes NEC Fall Meet

Day Two
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team finished the Northeast Conference Fall Meet on Sunday with a 2-4 record after going 1-2 on both Saturday and Sunday.
 
Sunday started for the Knights with a 4-0 loss to LIU Brooklyn. The closest game of the match was the first. The Blackbirds won 189-171.
 
The Knights got back in the win column in match two against Duquesne. Fairleigh Dickinson won 4-1 after winning the final three straight to close. The Knights won game three 188-180, game four 205-195 and game six 171-152.
 
The final match of the day pitted Fairleigh Dickinson against Saint Francis U. The Red Flash topped the Knights 4-1. The Red Flash built a 3-0 lead with a pair of close wins in games one and two plus a 37-pin win in game three. The Knights got its win game four, 199-170.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson does not return to action until January when they host a quad match on the 15th.

Day One
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The eighth-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team finished the first day of the Northeast Conference Fall Meet at 1-2 in best four-out-of-seven Baker Matches.
 
The Knights fell to St. Francis Brooklyn 4-1. The Terriers and Knights split the first two games. Fairleigh Dickinson won game two 212-198. St. Francis Brooklyn would then win the next three games to take the match. Games four and five were the closest at 13-pin margins each.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson topped Caldwell in five games in match number two. The Knights won the first three games to a commanding lead. Game one was a close contest with the Knights coming out with a 170-167 win. The Knights then record its three final wins by double digits.
 
Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson went the full seven games in the Knights' final match of the day. The Pioneers came out on top 4-3 after winning game seven. The Knights battled back to force a game seven by winning games five (204-203) and six (222-169). Game one was also close (213-211) that the Knights won as well.
 
The Pioneers are atop the standings with a record of 3-1 on Saturday. The Knights had three matches and then a bye in the fourth match slot of the day. Fairleigh Dickinson shares a 1-2 record with Duquesne and Caldwell.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson and other six NEC teams return to action tomorrow for three more best four-out-of-seven baker matches.
