HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team concludes its eight-game stretch on the road to start the season with a 1 p.m. tilt at Army on Sunday afternoon.

Fairleigh Dickinson fell on Long Island to Hofstra 2-1 in overtime. The two teams combined 47 shots with 20 getting on goal.
Connie Lewis (Outer Cove, Newfoundland/Gonzaga ) tied the game for the Knights in the second half at one before the Pride scored in the sixth minute of overtime.
SERIES SCORE
The Knights and the Black Knights have split the prior two meetings on the pitch. The two sides have not met since the 2004 season. Army West Point got the 2-1 win in overtime that time. Fairleigh Dickinson won the meeting in 2003 2-0.

The Black Knights sit at 1-7 after suffering a 1-0 loss to rival Navy on Friday night down in Annapolis, Maryland. Army and Fairleigh Dickinson have one common opponent – Hofstra. Army beat them 3-1 on September 10, Fairleigh Dickinson fell 2-1 in overtime on the 14th. Clare Shea leads the squad in goals (2) and points (4). Nicole Batistia and Madison McGinn have also scored. Jordan Cassalia has played all but 9:34 between the pipes so far this season and has a 1.88 goals against average.

Amanda Fitzgerald (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) set a new career-high with 12 saves in the Knights' 2-1 overtime loss to Hofstra on Wednesday. Her previous best was nine against Colgate on September 1.
