TEANECK, N.J. - The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team travels to Staten Island this weekend for a showdown with Northeast Conference foe Wagner on Friday and Saturday.  Please note that with rain forecast for Sunday, the two teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday, with no game scheduled for Sunday.

The first pitch on both days is slated for 1 p.m.

The Knights dropped three of four to Sacred Heart last weekend, but remain fourth in the NEC standings.  FDU has three weeks left in the regular season with this weekend's series at Wagner being followed by a home series with CCSU and a weekend trip to LIU Brooklyn.

Senior John Giakas (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) continues to hit with a .350 batting average, nine home runs and 35 runs batted in.  He is also one of the toughest batters in the nation to strikeout, having whiffed just six times in 140 at bats.
