Baltimore, Md - The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team left campus on Tuesday morning for a six-game road trip through Maryland.  The Knights will play mid-week games at Coppin State on Tuesday and Wednesday before heading to Emmitsburg, Maryland for a four-game Northeast Conference series Friday-Sunday.
 
Head coach Gary Puccio, already fourth on FDU's career wins list, enters play on Tuesday with 99 victories as the Knights' skipper.
 
The Knights enter the week with a 14-15 overall record and a 5-6 mark in Northeast Conference action.  FDU currently sits fourth in the NEC with five conference series remaining.
 
Catching Fire
Junior shortstop Matt McCann (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro ) has been on fire at the plate over the last five games.  The New Jersey native is hitting .529 over 17 games during that span.  He has nine hits, two doubles, three RBI and six runs scored.  He is also 4-of-4 on stolen base attempts and has not made an error.
