Towson University Tigers:
Towson is in the midst of a six-game homestand. Thus far, the team has notched a 3-2 record as they wrap up the stretch Saturday against the Knights.

All three of Towson's wins have been by double digits while its two losses to Old Dominion and the Northeast Conference's Robert Morris have been by a combined three points.

In a 60-58 loss to Old Dominion, the Tigers held the Monarchs scoreless over the final 11 minutes. In their last contest, the Tigers rolled to a 70-53 win over Loyola College (Md.) on Wednesday night at SECU Arena. Alex Thomas scored 11 points and grabbed a career-best seven rebounds to help the Tigers defeat the Greyhounds for the second consecutive season. Thomas also blocked a season-high three shots on the night.  Towson led by as much as 32 points in the win.

The Tigers have excelled on defense this season, limiting opponents to just 36.9 percent field goal percentage, which ranks 19th in the country. They're also 20th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game at 14.4 per contest and 23rd in rebounding margin at +8.2.

Last Time Out for the Knights:
Fairleigh Dickinson dropped its final non-conference home game 90-71 to Iona College at Stratis Arena on Wednesday night.

The Knights were unable to slow the hot-shooting Gaels (5-3) who built a large lead early and held on the rest of the way.

Sophomore forward Mike Holloway paced the Knights with 17 points and six rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting in the loss, while the Gaels were led by Jordan Washington, who finished with a game-high 18 points.

Five Gaels reached double-figures in the win including Schadrac Casimir's 16 points.
Sam Cassell Jr. and Rickey McGill chipped in with 14 for Iona. Cassell Jr. was especially on target from 3-point range where he connected on all four of his attempts.

Freshman forward Kaleb Bishop netted a career-high 13 points for the Knights in the loss and knocked down his first five shot attempts of the night.

Herenda's Take:

"That's one you just forget about and you move on from. Give Iona the credit but we were just not very good in any category. That is not how we practice or who we are."

"The only thing that was positive was that we got Earl and Gus back on the floor tonight. We finally have our full complement of players back. We have three non-conference games to get our rotations set for conference play. We will be fine."

News and Notes:
Welcome Back: The Knights welcomed back two key contributors last game as Earl Potts Jr. and Ghassan Nehme made their season debut logging limited minutes against Iona.

Efficiency is Key: The Knights are 2-0 when they score 90+ points this season but Towson is one of the top teams in the country at limiting opponents as they've held the opposition to just 36.9 percent field goal percentage this season, which ranks 19th in the country. In their two victories, the Knights registered their two best shooting performances of the season at 54.5 percent and 52.9 percent.

Up-tempo Game: The fast pace of last game against Iona resulted in a season-high 70 field goal attempts for the Knights.

Turn Them Over: The Knights have won the turnover battle in six of their eight games this season. Unfortunately, that has only resulted in a 2-4 record in such games.

Charitable Contributions: Darian Anderson and Darnell Edge have taken care of business at the charity stripe all season. Anderson has knocked down 92.6 percent of his free throws, while Edge has converted 91.7 of his shots at the line. Anderson's average is tops in the NEC.

Milestone Watch: Junior guard Darian Anderson is closing in on 1,000 career points. He has amassed 976 points across 70 career games (13.9 ppg)

Marshall on Herenda Show: Tune in this Sunday to the Greg Herenda Show as Coach G is joined by first-year Central Connecticut St. head coach Donyell Marshall. The Herenda Show airs on Sunday morning's at 7:30 a.m. on iHeartRadio and WFDU. Also, check FDUKnights.com for archives of all programs.

Next up:
The Knights continue their non-conference slate when they travel to intrastate rival Rutgers University this Wednesday, December 14. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the RAC in Piscataway, N.J.
