READING, Pa. - The No.7 ranked Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team went 4-1 over five traditional team games on the final day of competition of the 2015 Kutztown Invitational.
There was a revised schedule on Sunday due to the weekend winter storm and some teams leaving the competition early.
Overall on the day, senior
Nicolette Sarin (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township High School) led the way with a 214.8 average over the five matches.
Melanie Hannon (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Maryvale) and May Caruso also averaged over 200 on the day.
In match one of the day, the Knights took on No. 8 Stephen F. Austin. The Knights topped the Lady Jacks, 990-957, behind a 246 from
Karsyn Lukosius (Brick, N.J./Brick Township). Sarin and Caruso added a 205 and 204 respectively.
Match two saw Fairleigh Dickinson battle No. 15 Valparaiso. Sarin rolled a 254 and Hannon recorded a 223 to help the Knights earn the 1027-1002 win. The Knights lost to the Crusaders on day one in baker format.
No. 23 Adelphi was the opponent in match three. The Knights once again had three bowlers record at least a 200, led by Hannon's 244 to get the win, 1035-899. Sarin and Caruso were once again over 200.
Northeast Conference for No. 19 St. Francis Brooklyn awaited in match four of the afternoon. The Knights earned the comfortable 1076-867 win behind
Morgan Brown (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford)'s 244 and Hannon's 241. The Knights are now 3-1 on the season against the Terriers.
The Knights dropped match five of the day to No. 11 Delaware State, 1018-858. Lukosius was the high score with a 192. No other Knight was over an 186.
For the weekend, the Knights held a 7-4 record over the two days of competition.
The Knights have a weekend off before returning to action at the Delaware State Capital Classic on February 6 and 7 in Middletown, Delaware.

READING, Pa. - Day one of the Kutztown Invitational saw No.7 Fairleigh Dickinson go 3-3 on the day, however, the Knights do sit second overall in the team standings with a 201.4 average over the days' six baker matches.
The Knights ran their match winning streak to 14 with a 1,000-872 over No. 18 Norfolk State. It is the third time in two weeks that the Knights and Spartans had met with Fairleigh Dickinson winning each time.
In match two of the day the Knights squared off with No. 15 Valparaiso. Fairleigh Dickinson saw its 14-match winning streak snapped with a close 977-960 loss to the Crusaders.
Fairleigh Dickinson would win its third and fourth matches of the day against No. 4 Central Missouri and No. 17 Monmouth respectively. Against Central Missouri, the Knights snuck past the Jennies 1,034-1,021 and against their fellow Garden State residents, the Knights won 1,078-927.
Games five and six both came with losses for the Knights against No. 6 Wisconsin Whitewater and No. 3 Vanderbilt respectively. The Knights dropped a 1,025-1,000 decision to UWW and a 1,033-971 match to Vanderbilt. Fairleigh Dickinson is 1-2 against Vanderbilt this season and is now 1-1 against UWW.
The impending weather in the region has changed for Saturday with the competition resuming at 11:55 a.m with the six traditional games.
