TWITTERHACKENSACK, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson will try to make it two straight wins on Sunday at St. John's after topping Binghamton 1-0 on Friday night at University Stadium.
Carly Tice (Highland Falls, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) got the lone goal in the contest in the eighth minute and
Felicia Burr (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone-Millville) made six saves to earn the shutout. Tice now leads the team in goals with four goals on the season.
Fairleigh Dickinson has never beaten St. John's in the two prior meetings. The last meeting came back in 2007 in Queens with the Red Storm winning 3-1.
The Red Storm come in with a 7-1 record on the season have surrendered just three goals in those eight contests. The lone loss for the Red Storm came at Brown, 2-1, on September 4. Rachel Daly leads the Red Storm in goals (5) and points (12) on the season. Morgan Tinari, Shea Connors and Daly all have two assists to lead St. John's. Daly is fourth in the BIG EAST Conference with those 12 points.
