Women's Soccer Visits Stony Brook on Sunday

HACKENSACK, N.J. – After sweeping two games last weekend in Colorado and picking up a pair of Northeast Conference weekly honors, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team travels to Stony Brook on Sunday.

The Knights came back and beat Air Force, 3-2 when Jessi Reinhardt (Friedberg, Germany/Burggymansium) scored in the 85th minute, on Friday. Two days later, Rachel Hoekstra (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central) scored twice and set a new program record of goals as the Knights shut out Northern Colorado 2-0.

Stony Brook fell 2-1 at Hofstra on Friday night. The loss drops the Seawolves to 2-5 on the season. Six different players have scored the six goals that Stony Brook has scored this season.

The Knights currently own three of the top four spots in points in the NEC with Carly Tice (Highland Falls, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) and Hoekstra leading the way with seven and Esther Rochon (Saint Romuald, Quebec/College Francois-Xavier-Garneau) tied for second with six points. Tice and Hoekstra are also tied for first in goals with three.

One more point for Hoekstra and she will set a new program record in points in a career with 53.
