Box Score Bethlehem, Pa. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team dropped its season opener on the road at Lehigh University on Friday night. The Knights (0-1) surrendered a pair of first half goals and the Mountain Hawks (1-0) added a third tally in the 78
th minute to take the match by a score of 3-0.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, September 1 at Lafayette.
The Mountain Hawks scored in the 12
th minute on Donovan Perayeff's shot into the lower left corner from six yards out. Lehigh added its second goal of the day later in the half as Doyle Tuvesson came in on a run from outside the 18-yard box and found the back of the net.
In the 78
th minute, Mark Forrest delivered a cross in front of the net to Alex Greene who redirected the ball into the lower corner to give Lehigh a 3-0 advantage.

Sam Durkot (Centereach, N.Y./Newfield) nearly got the Knights on the board in the 57
th minute with a free kick from just outside of the 18-yard box. Durkot's attempt was narrowly deflected over the crossbar by the keeper.

Enver Caymaz (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) also recorded shots on goal in the second half.

th minute and record seven saves in the losing effort.
The Mountain Hawks led most statistical categories, including a 14-6 advantage in shots and a 10-3 edge in shots on goal.
The Knights' match at Lafayette on Tuesday is schedule for a 7 p.m. start at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium in Easton, Pennsylvania. After that contest, the Knights will host Yale at University Stadium on Sunday, September 6 at 7 p.m.
