HACKENSACK, N.J. – Winners of three straight, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team visits Sacred Heart on Sunday to conclude the opening weekend of Northeast Conference for 2015.

The Knights are coming off a 3-0 win over Mount St. Mary's in the pouring rain on Friday night at University Stadium. Rachel Hoekstra (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central) scored twice and Carly Tice (Highland Falls, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) scored for the Knights. Both players have recorded eight goals on the season for Fairleigh Dickinson.

Fairleigh Dickinson has outscored opponents 8-1 during this three-game winning streak. The win versus Mount makes the fifth straight at home, which ties a program record.

The Knights and Pioneers have evenly split the previous 16 meetings at 7-7-2. Fairleigh Dickinson earned a 2-1 overtime win last year over Sacred Heart. Back in 2013, the two teams played to 0-0 tie in double overtime. The Knights have not won at Sacred Heart since 2007.

Sacred Heart lost their NEC opener to Bryant on Friday night 1-0 in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The Pioneers are 3-7 overall and 0-1 NEC on the season. Common opponents between the Knights and Pioneers are Hartford and Stony Brook. The Pioneers beat Stony Brook 2-0 and lost to Hartford 1-0 in overtime while Fairleigh Dickinson lost 3-0 to Stony Brook and beat Hartford 1-0. Dana Cosmedy and Alex Mesropyan lead the team in points with eight each. Talia Schwartz has started all 10 games in goal for the Pioneers.

Hoekstra's two goals last time out gives her 29 for her career and 62 career points. Both increased her program records.

Tice now has 18 career goals and 44 career points. The senior sits fifth in career goals and tied for fourth in career points.

Burr's fourth shutout of the year on Friday night is her ninth in her career. She is one away from becoming the third goalkeeper to record 10 in a career (Sage DoVale, 14, Andrea Matson, 10).

Esther Rochon (Saint Romuald, Quebec/College Francois-Xavier-Garneau)'s assist versus The Mount gives her seven points on the year and she is tied with three other teammates with three assists on the year.

The Knights host Central Connecticut and visit LIU Brooklyn next weekend.
