HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer will try and win its second straight NEC Regular Season Title this weekend. The Knights need a tie or a win against St. Francis U on Friday to clinch.

The Knights can still host the NEC Tournament with a loss to Saint Francis U and then a win against Robert Morris on Sunday to host the tournament for a second straight season.

Fairleigh Dickinson has won eight straight games and are 12-5 overall and 6-0 in NEC play. The Knights wrapped up the home portion of their schedule on last Friday night when they beat Bryant 4-0 to cap a perfect 8-0 season at University Stadium. Rachel Hoekstra (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central) scored twice and Amanda Goulet (Quebec City, Quebec/Shattuck-St. Mary's ) and Jessi Reinhardt (Friedberg, Germany/Burggymansium) added the two others.

Tomorrow's meeting will be the 16th meeting between Saint Francis U and Fairleigh Dickinson. The Red Flash holds a 7-6-2 record all-time against the Knights. Fairleigh Dickinson has won the last two meetings, including last season's NEC Semifinal clash, prior to that SFU has won four straight. The Knights are 8-5-1 against Robert Morris in their history. Fairleigh Dickinson is 2-0-1 in the last tilts between the two. The tie came back in 2013 in Moon Township.

Saint Francis U comes into the game with a 4-11-2 overall record and a 4-2-1 NEC mark. The Red Flash won four straight to open NEC play but have gone 0-2-1 in their last three games. Casey Gallaher leads the Red Flash in points with 13 (5g, 3a) on the season. Allison LaDuke and Gabi Morales are second and third on the team in points with nine and seven respectively.

Robert Morris will play Mount St. Mary's on Friday afternoon before taking on the Knights at 11 a.m. on Sunday in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. The Colonials have won three of their last four, with the loss coming to Central Connecticut, 2-0. Cassie Raymond leads the Colonials in points (17) and goals (7) on the year. Erin Ritzer (11 points) and Kristie Hamilton (10) are second and third on the squad.
