Box Score LORETTO, Pa. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team fell to Saint Francis U on Sunday afternoon. The Knights (2-11-1, 0-4 NEC) dropped the match to the Red Flash (8-5, 3-2 NEC) by a score of 5-0.
The Red Flash scored four times in the first half, registering goals in the third, sixth, 29
th and 33
rd minutes. The Flash added a fifth goal in the 54
th minute.
FDU senior
Sam Durkot (Centereach, N.Y./Newfield) recorded a shot on goal in the 11
th minute, but Saint Francis keeper Marcus Rojas saved the attempt. Sophomore
Brett Conrads (Andover, N.J./Newtown) had a shot on goal saved in the 21
st minute and
Kevin Ramirez (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) sent a ball on net in the 74
th minute, but it was also stopped.
FDU's
Matthew Weigner (Warrington, Pa/Central Bucks South) and
Aleksandar Djekic (Belgrade, Serbia/Druga Ekonomska Skola) combined to make nine saves.
The Red Flash outshot the Knights 27-6 and had a 9-3 edge in shots on goal.
The Knights will return to action on Friday night at University Stadium. They will host St. Francis Brooklyn for a 7 p.m. match.
