Third-year head coach Jack Perri has two intriguing additions to his ranks this season: two members of the Icelandic national team, Elvar Fridriksson and Martin Hermannsson. The former was named back-to-back Young Player of the Year in Iceland's main league from 2011-13 and currently averages 10.4 points per contest with a team-leading 52 assists and 13 steals in a team-high 33.2 minutes per contest. Hermannsson was named the Icelandic League's MVP last season and is averaging 9.6 points with 38 assists with LIU. Both freshen have become vital cogs in the LIU team.
