The Knights scored a pair of unearned runs in the bottom half of the fifth, as freshman Matt McCann (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro )'s two-run single scored fellow classmate Zach Tondi (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Bergen County Technical) and sophomore Ryan McGrath (Lansingburgh, N.Y./Lansingburgh), which made the score 6-3.

But Bryant would score single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to cruise to the victory.

In game two, Bryant broke open a scoreless tie with three runs in the top of the third for a 3-0 lead. Bryant would tally four more runs in the top of the fifth before scoring a single run in the top of the sixth to cap the scoring.

Junior Brendan Butler (W. Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) (2-5) was charged with the loss on the bump after allowing six runs – five earned – on just three hits, but he walked three and plunked four batters while fanning three in 4.1 innings.
Fellow classmate Anthony Calise (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) became the Knights' all-time appearances leader after tossing a third of an inning on the bump.

FDU managed only two hits in the game, as Kyle Wilcox earned the victory in 5.0 innings of work. He faced the minimum and did not issue a walk while striking out three.
