TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team (3-3) will host Lafayette (2-4) in a three-game series beginning on Saturday at the Naimoli Family Baseball Complex, marking the 2014 home opener for the Knights. Saturday will feature one contest beginning at 2 p.m., while Sunday will be a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m., with the first game scheduled for seven innings.

FDU won two out of three games at Morehead State last weekend, taking the first and final games of the set. The Knights pounded out 41 hits en route to a .336 batting average and 22 runs scored. Freshman

Logan Frati (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport/South Manor) fanned six in the opener after he was given a no-decision after throwing a fantastic 7.1 innings in his second start of the season.

What You Need To Know: The Leopards opened the season with three straight losses at VMI, before winning two of three at George Washington last weekend, with the one loss coming by a 1-0 score in 10 innings. Lafayette is only hitting .184 as a team and has scored 11 runs in the young season. Nick Murray is the lone Leopard hitting over .250 (.263, five hits), while Alex Woinski has a team-high three RBI. On the mound, the Leopards have posted a 3.00 ERA in 51.0 innings.
