M. Basketball at No. 24 St. John's on Wednesday Night

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (3-4) continues its brief road swing with a trip to Queens to take on No. 24 St. John's (6-1) on Wednesday, Dec. 10 on CBS Sports Network. Tipoff from the Carnesecca Arena is slated for 8 p.m. Jon Lauder will have the call on FDUKnights.com radio.

Last Time Out
After defeating Princeton, 89-85, the Knights travelled to South Bend to face Notre Dame for the first time in program history. The Fighting Irish started the contest off with a 7-0 run and never looked back although FDU kept it within five for the first 15 minutes of action. Mustafaa Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) led his team with 16 points (6-of-12 FG) and four three's, while freshman guard Marques Townes (Edison, N.J./St. Joseph (Metuchen)) added 11 in 20 minutes. Junior forward Xavier Harris (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution) corralled a career-high 11 rebounds and dished out a career-high three assists.

What You Need To Know: The Johnnies are on a three-game winning streak and entered the top 25 for the first time since 2011. St. John's, anchored by seniors D'Angelo Harrison, Sir'Dominic Pointer, and Phil Greene IV, have reached the NIT in two straight years under head coach Steve Lavin. This season, his group has risen back to national prominence with the help of victories at Syracuse and over Minnesota. Over his last five games, Pointer has averaged 10.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.6 blocks per game. Harrison, meanwhile, is the nation's third active leading scorer in Division I with 1,730 points, just 33 points shy of sixth on the school's all-time list. He is also the program's all-time leader in three-point field goals. The Red Storm defense ranks sixth in the nation with 7.0 blocks per game and has held opposing offenses to just 36.6% from the field, tops in the Big East.
