Box Score NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team battled Central Connecticut to a 2-2 draw on Saturday night at the CCSU Soccer field in Northeast Conference action. With the tie, the Knights collect one point in the standings and move to 3-8-2 (1-1-1 NEC) on the season, while the Blue Devils go to 5-6-2 (1-1-1 NEC) overall.

Jorge de la Bandera (Monmouth Junction N.J./South Brunswick) to net his first career goal, as his header gave FDU a 1-0 advantage.
The Knights would hold the lead for nearly the next 46 minutes until the home team knotted the contest at 1-1, after Luke Albertini scored on a header off of Filosmar Cordeiro's free kick.
But in the next minute, sophomore
Enver Caymaz (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) tallied his third goal of the season with a left-footed shot just outside the 18. Freshman

With a little over 10 minutes remaining in regulation, CCSU's Keir Hannity fed Cordeiro, who tied the match at 2-2 in the 80th minute.
FDU, who outshot the Blue Devils 7-1 over the opening 45 minutes and 14-8 in regulation, had its chances in the two extra periods, outshooting CCSU, 4-1, in overtime. Six of the Knights' 18 shots were on goal, while the Blue Devils saw six of their nine attempts travel on goal.
Freshman
Matthew Weigner (Warrington, Pa/Central Bucks South) made four saves between the pipes for FDU, and Josef Abele was forced to make three for the home team.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 21 when they step out of conference play to take on Lehigh at 7 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
