HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will return to action after a 15-day hiatus on Sunday when they host Hofstra for a 4 p.m. contest at Stratis Arena. The matchup will conclude a rare home-and-home nonconference series between the two schools, as the Pride defeated the Knights, 80-58, on Nov. 10 in the second game of the season for each side.
Sunday's contest will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row and will only be the third home game for FDU this season. The Knights last played at Stratis Arena on Nov. 23 when they fell to Saint Peter's, 67-63.
Last Time Out
FDU concluded a seven-game trip away from home when it fell to Columbia, 82-59, back on Dec. 21. The difference in the contest game from behind-the-arc, with the Lions shooting 43.5 percent (10-of-23) and holding FDU to only 18.2 percent (2-of-11). From the field, the Knights finished the game at 36 percent (18-of-50), while Columbia connected on an even 50 percent (23-of-46) of its attempts.
Senior
Sidney Sanders Jr. (Charleston, S.C./Burke) scored 20 points for the Knights to share game-high honors, with half of his total coming from the free throw line (10-for-14). Freshman
Jayde Dawson (Montreal, Quebec/Brooks School) came off the bench to add 10 points and two steals, while sophomore
Xavier Harris (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution) chipped in nine points and a team-best five rebounds.

What You Need To Know: The Pride have struggled in contests played away from Long Island, going 0-4 in true road games and 1-1 in games played at a neutral site, with the only victory coming over Hartford, 81-78; a team who defeated the Knights on Nov. 15, 74-60. Hofstra has also gone 1-1 against Northeast Conference opponents in a pair of home contests (lost to Sacred Heart, 73-59; defeated Central Connecticut State, 72-67). The Pride will be playing their fourth game in nine days, having lost to George Washington (69-58) and beaten NJIT (75-64) at home, before falling on the road at Tulane (71-68) on Thursday afternoon. A pair of graduate students pace Hofstra in scoring, as llinois State transfer Zeke Upshaw leads the Colonial Athletic Association in scoring at 18.7 points per game, while former Monmouth standout Dion Nesmith adds 13.4 points per game.
