HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The fourth-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team (44-11) will look to tack on more victories to its 17-match win streak this weekend at the 28-team Kutztown Golden Bear Classic. Teams from the Northeast Conference will compete against schools from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the central part of the country, both Friday and Saturday. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday; will start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, before Sunday's bracket matches at 8 a.m.

The Knights will square off against Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, Coppin State, Bethune-Cookman, No. 14 Valparaiso, and Morgan State.  The second day will be much tougher, FDU faces five top-15 teams, including four in the top 10. Day two includes matches against No. 2 UMES, No. 15 Delaware State, Howard, No. 5 Stephen F. Austin, No. 7Wisconsin-Whitewater and No. 8 Vanderbilt.  The Knights' performance on these two days will determine seeding for Sunday's championship bracket.

The Knights finished first in last weekend's Bowie State Invitational, going 13-0 over the course of the tournament. FDU bowlers took the top three slots in total pinfall, with junior Liat Vizenfeld (Holon, Israel/Campus Kiryat Sharet) (1090 pins), freshman Melanie Hannon (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Maryvale) (1083) and sophomore Nicolette Sarin (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township High School) (1058) making the All-Tournament Team. Vizenfeld earned her fifth straight NEC Bowler of the Week honor, while Hannon took home her third NEC Rookie of the Week accolade.

The Knights will return to action at the Delaware State Capital Classic, Feb. 7-9, in Dover, Del.
