Women's Bowling

W. Bowling Returns From Long Layoff This Weekend

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling will return to action have a 39-day hiatus when it travels to Laurel, Md. to participate in the "Fred Underwood" Lady Bulldogs Classic, hosted by Bowie State, Jan. 17-19.

The Knights last competed at Northeast Conference Meet #2 last month in Wallingford, Conn.  The team went 6-2, moving to first place overall in the NEC. Junior Liat Vizenfeld (Holon, Israel/Campus Kiryat Sharet) won her fourth consecutive NEC Player of the Week honor this season after finishing the tournament with a 218 average, taking the award every week so far she has been eligible. Freshman Morgan Brown (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) captured her second NEC Rookie of the Week award after a 212 average in the meet. 

Following the Lady Bulldogs Classic, the Knights will bowl at the Kutztown Golden Bear Classic in Reading, Pa. on January 24-26.
