W. Soccer Concludes Road Swing This Weekend

TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team will conclude its four-game road swing this weekend starting with a 3:30 p.m. contest Friday at Vermont and a local trip Sunday night at Columbia, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. on the northern tip of Manhattan.

Last Time Out
The Knights were edged by former Northeast Conference rival Monmouth, 1-0, last Sunday night at the Great Lawn. Current NEC Defender of the Week and senior goalkeeper Sage DoVale (Lilburn, Ga./Collins Hill) did not allow a goal over the first 80 minutes and made five saves, including one on a penalty kick late in the first half.

Vermont
2013 Season: 2-5-0

What You Need To Know: Freshman Nikki McFarland leads the Catamounts with three points on one goal and one assist. Goalkeeper Ally Ramos was named Third Team All-America East in 2012 after Vermont finished sixth in the league standings.

Columbia
2013 Season: 2-2-1 (face Albany on Friday)
When: Sunday, Sept. 22nd – 7 p.m.
Where: New York, N.Y. (Columbia Soccer Stadium)
Series History: Columbia leads 6-0
What You Need To Know: The Lions face Albany Sept. 20 before taking on the Knights two days later. Senior Beverly Leon and Junior Alexa Yow lead Columbia with five points each. Leon was named Second Team All-Ivy League in 2012 after Columbia finished fifth in the league standings.
