HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (3-6) will be looking for a three-game winning streak when it travels to Long Island to face Stony Brook for a 7 p.m. tipoff at Pritchard Gymnasium. The game will be broadcast live on FDUKnights.com.

The Knights, who are in the midst of a seven-game road swing, are coming off a Garden State sweep of the state's biggest Division I programs, Rutgers and Seton Hall.
In front of a national audience on Fox Sports 1 on Sunday, FDU downed in-state rival Seton Hall, 58-54, at the Prudential Center in Newark behind a career-high 23 points, a career-best nine rebounds, nine assists and three steals from senior Sidney

Scooter Gillette (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) added 15 points, six rebounds and a career-high four blocks. The Knights held the Pirates to 37.7 percent from field and won the battle on the glass for the first time this season, 33-29. FDU converted 50 percent of its attempts in the second half to finish at 43.5 percent, including 36 percent from three-point range. The victory was the Knights first over Seton Hall since 2006 and only their fourth in 21 chances.
For his effort last week in FDU's three contests, Sanders Jr. was named the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week (given out to the top player at a Mid-Major school), the Choice Hotels/Northeast Conference Player of the Week and the Big Apple Buckets Player of the Week. The Knights' co-captain averaged 21.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game. After scoring 19 points in a 70-62 loss to Norfolk State, Sanders Jr. responded with his first career double-double (23 points, 10 assists, one turnover) against Rutgers, and followed that with his near triple-double performance at Seton Hall.

What You Need To Know: The Seawolves had a 13-game home win streak snapped on Sunday to NEC opponent St. Francis Brooklyn, 70-68, on Sunday. Stony Brook shot 53 percent from the field but allowed the Terriers to shoot connect at a 50-percent clip. The Seawolves have three players averaging double figures in scoring, with senior guard Anthony Jackson leading the way at 18.0 points per game, to go along with a team-best 21 assists. Sophomore forward Jameel Warney adds 17.6 points and a team-best 11.0 rebounds per game while shooting 67.5 percent from the floor and had a streak of 16 consecutive games where he scored in double-figures snapped after scoring only five points and grabbing five rebounds in the loss to St. Francis Brooklyn. Sophomore guard Carson Puriefoy has come off the bench in all eight games this season to chip in 12.8 points per game.

The Knights will continue their road swing when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to play the Tigers on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. It will be the first-ever meeting between FDU and Princeton.
