HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowling team will open Northeast Conference action this weekend at NEC Meet 1.  The two-day tournament is hosted by Kutztown University in Reading, Pa.

The Knights were selected to finish second among the group in the NEC preseason coaches' poll, released earlier this week.  2011-12 Champion, Sacred Heart, received the preseason favorite nod.

FDU will take on SHU, host Kutztown, Monmouth, Saint Francis PA, St. Francis NY, Adelphi, New Jersey City, Saint Peter's and LIU Brooklyn this weekend.

The results will combine with two other NEC Meets to determine the field for the NEC Tournament hosted by the Knights in March.
