HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowling team will compete at The Eastern Shore Hawk Classic, sponsored by Hammer Bowling and hosted by the 2012 NCAA National Champions this weekend.  The three-day tournament will be held at Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Del. 

The Knights return to the Hawk Classic after taking second place in 2011.  FDU fell to Vanderbilt in the tournament championship after going 9-1 on the weekend.

The 2012 Hawk Classic will open at noon on Friday, Nov. 16.  Friday's competition will include five Quad Baker games.

On Saturday, the Knights will take on five opponents in traditional team games.  A three-round playoff bracket will be held on Sunday, with each round consisting of a best-of-seven Baker match.

The Hawk Classic features an 18-team field that includes 13 of the nation's top 20 teams as determined by the NTCA Coaches' Poll.
