Mount St. Mary's went into the break up 42-22.

The Mount shot 58.6 percent (17-of-29) over the first 20 minutes and knocked down 5-of-9 from long range.  FDU shot only 32.1 percent (9-of-28) and missed all six of its three-point attempts.

The visitors also scored 13 points off nine Knights' miscues and outscored FDU, 8-0, on fast break opportunities.

Down 48-22 early on in the second half, the Knights showed some life as they outscored the Mount, 17-6, to cut the lead to 54-39 with 6:46 to go in the contest.  FDU had three opportunities to cut into the deficit but could not capitalize as Mount St. Mary's was able to regroup and cruise to the 66-45 victory.

Both teams grabbed 36 rebounds.  The Knights had 16 on the offensive glass.

FDU took much better care of the basketball in the second half as they only turned it over two times to tie its season-low with 11.  Mount St. Mary's turned it over 14 times.

“We have to put this game behind us and focus our attention on LIU,” Head Coach Greg Vetrone said.
