The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will look to end its 10-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon when they host Mount St. Mary's in Northeast Conference action. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ.
The Knights (1-12 (0-3 NEC) restarted NEC play Thursday evening with a home tilt against Wagner and were defeated by the Seahawks, 88-64. FDU led 10-7 early on before the Seahawks took control with 12 unanswered points and eventually outscored the Knights, 35-12, to take a 21-point lead. FDU cut the lead to 11 early in the second half but could not get any closer as Wagner cruised to the easy victory.

George Goode (Raytown, MO/Raytown South) had a career night for the Knights as he scored a career-high 23 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. He also knocked down a career-best 11 free throws on 12 attempts and just missed his fourth double-double of the season as he grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Junior
Melquan Bolding (Mt. Vernon, N.Y./Bishop Stepinac) added 13 points and five rebounds, while junior
Kinu Rochford (Brooklyn, N.Y./James Madison) chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
As a team, FDU shot 76.5 percent from the free throw line en route to establishing season highs in both makes (26) and attempts (34). They also failed to make a three-pointer for the first time all season but only took three attempts from behind the arc.
The Knights are winless over their first three games in Northeast Conference play for only the second time in the history of the program. The only other time FDU started out 0-3 was 10 years ago during the 2001-02 season when they finished the season with a record of 4-25 (4-16 NEC). FDU has never started out 0-4 in NEC play.
Scouting Mount St. Mary's: The Mount (2-12, 0-3 NEC), who were picked to finish sixth in the Northeast Conference, come into Saturday's on a two-game losing streak. They ended a nine-game losing streak on December 29 when they defeated American at home, 49-42. The Mount then lost to Albany at home, 65-64. Albany defeated the Knights, 81-62, back on November 27. The Mount opened the season with a loss at No. 22 Marquette (91-37) before defeating Hartford (63-50) on the road for their first win of the season. After that victory, they lost nine straight with losses to Siena, Minnesota, Navy, St. Francis NY, Long Island, Maryland, Loyola MD, Penn State and Savannah State.
Sophomore guard Julian Norfleet leads the Mount in scoring at 11.8 ppg and is the team's best three-point threat (34.0 percent; 33-of-97). Junior forward Raven Barber is the team's sixth man and is the Mount's second leading scorer at 9.3 ppg and is the team's second leading rebounder at 4.5 rpg. He is also shooting 54.1 percent (53-of-98) from the field. Barber missed the game versus Monmouth with an injury. Senior forward Danny Thompson leads the Mount in rebounding at 8.4 rpg and is also the team's third leading scorer at 8.4 ppg.
All-Time Series: This will be the 44th meeting between the two schools which dates back to the 1955-56 season. Both teams have played each other at least once a year since the 1989-90 season. The Knights hold a 24-19 advantage including 14-6 at home. The Mount won last season in Emmitsburg, MD, 70-59, for their fifth consecutive win in the series and have won six of seven. The last FDU win came on January 5, 2008 as they defeated the Mount on the road, 65-62.
