The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will look to end its 13-game losing streak at home on Monday against Longwood in an afternoon matinee at Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ.  Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. in the Knights' final non-conference game of the season.

After leading by two at halftime, the Knights went ice cold in the second half as they fell at St. Francis NY, 62-51, this past Saturday.  FDU spotted the Terriers an 8-0 lead before battling back to tie the game at 14.  Eventually the Knights were able to take a seven-point lead thanks to an 18-3 run.  The Knights took their second seven-point lead at 30-23 before SFNY was able to cut the deficit to 34-32 lead going into halftime.  To open the second half, the Terriers outscored the Knights, 14-3, over the first nine minutes of the second half to take a 46-37 lead.  FDU scored only one point in the first eight minutes and failed to score over a seven minute stretch during the SFNY run.

Junior Melquan Bolding (Mt. Vernon, N.Y./Bishop Stepinac) came out firing in the first half as he scored 14 of his team-high 15 points in the first half as he drilled three three-pointers.  Graduate student George Goode (Raytown, MO/Raytown South) and junior Kinu Rochford (Brooklyn, N.Y./James Madison) added 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds.  FDU only turned the ball over 12 times.   The Knights have been taking better care of the basketball since senior Sam Fernley (Sheffield, England/Silverdale) has taken over the point guard duties.

Scouting Longwood: The Lancers (6-12) are one of three independent teams in Division I and are coming off an 83-67 loss at Dartmouth this past Saturday.  Before losing to Dartmouth, Longwood won two games in a row against NJIT at home (85-70) and at Brown (79-77).  The win at Brown snapped a five-game losing streak.  The Lancers and the Knights have played one common opponent in NJIT which FDU lost to last month, 66-53.

Senior center Antwan Carter leads the Lancers in scoring (18.1 ppg), rebounding (8.9 rpg) and field goal percentage (52.5 percent; 135-of-257).  Senior guard Jeremiah Bowman is the team's second-leading scorer at 13.6 ppg and is shooting 48.6 percent (84-of-173) from the field.  Sophomore guard Tristan Carey is averaging 11.3 points per game.

All-Time Series: This will be only the third meeting between the schools.  The series started two years ago when the Knights fell 83-81 to the Lancers in Hackensack.  Last season, the Knights got revenge as they defeated Longwood by five at their place, 83-78.
