The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will look to end its 13-game losing streak at home on Monday against Longwood in an afternoon matinee at Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. in the Knights' final non-conference game of the season.
After leading by two at halftime, the Knights went ice cold in the second half as they fell at St. Francis NY, 62-51, this past Saturday. FDU spotted the Terriers an 8-0 lead before battling back to tie the game at 14. Eventually the Knights were able to take a seven-point lead thanks to an 18-3 run. The Knights took their second seven-point lead at 30-23 before SFNY was able to cut the deficit to 34-32 lead going into halftime. To open the second half, the Terriers outscored the Knights, 14-3, over the first nine minutes of the second half to take a 46-37 lead. FDU scored only one point in the first eight minutes and failed to score over a seven minute stretch during the SFNY run.

Scouting Longwood: The Lancers (6-12) are one of three independent teams in Division I and are coming off an 83-67 loss at Dartmouth this past Saturday. Before losing to Dartmouth, Longwood won two games in a row against NJIT at home (85-70) and at Brown (79-77). The win at Brown snapped a five-game losing streak. The Lancers and the Knights have played one common opponent in NJIT which FDU lost to last month, 66-53.
Senior center Antwan Carter leads the Lancers in scoring (18.1 ppg), rebounding (8.9 rpg) and field goal percentage (52.5 percent; 135-of-257). Senior guard Jeremiah Bowman is the team's second-leading scorer at 13.6 ppg and is shooting 48.6 percent (84-of-173) from the field. Sophomore guard Tristan Carey is averaging 11.3 points per game.
All-Time Series: This will be only the third meeting between the schools. The series started two years ago when the Knights fell 83-81 to the Lancers in Hackensack. Last season, the Knights got revenge as they defeated Longwood by five at their place, 83-78.
