In the last round of the day FDU faced a bye.  They bowled a standard quad Baker match for total pinfall and recorded a total score of 715.

At the end of day one, Sacred Heart held the top position in the 11-team field with a pinfall of 3,842.  Central Missouri sat in second placed with 3,798 pins, while the Knights captured third with 3,778.

“We did not play as well as we could have today,” said Head Coach Mike LoPresit.  “We had bouts of inconsistencies, but we did achieve many of our goals for the weekend already.  We were able to have our entire roster compete and win all of our matches today.”

“We should be able to straighten things out tomorrow with games against the tournament leaders,” LoPresti added.

The Knights will play five traditional team games on Saturday with matches scheduled against Sacred Heart and Central Missouri.  A two-game playoff round is slated for Sunday.
