A change in the Fairleigh Dickinson women's fencing team's schedule will have the Knights competing at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m.
Originally planning for a weekend off, the Knights will instead compete for the fifth time this season.
Last time out, FDU took part in the Vassar Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 13, in Poughkeepsie, NY, where senior
Annie Kazarjan (Budapest, Hungary/Koecsey Ferenc Gimnazium) put together a perfect 21-0 record in epee. Junior
Christine Forsythe (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) also had a strong day in epee with a 14-7 record.
At Vassar, FDU's sabreists
Hanna Heldenmuth (Miami, Fla./Keystone National) and
Genele Streitz (Mendham, NJ/West Morris Mendham High School) had 18-3 and 10-11 marks, respectively.
NJIT will be competing for the first time in the 2011-12 season.
After this weekend, FDU is scheduled to travel to Jersey City, NJ for the Christmas Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 4, beginning at 8 a.m.
