The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will look to get a W in the win column Friday night when they host Garden State rival Saint Peter's.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ.

The Knights (0-2) are coming off their home opener this past Tuesday at Stratis Arena against Lehigh, losing by 11 to the Mountain Hawks, 72-61.  The game was played very sloppy by both teams as the two combined for 43 turnovers (Lehigh – 21, FDU – 22) and both shot under 40 percent from the floor.  Lehigh won the game at the free throw line by going 26-for-30, while FDU went only 4-for-10.

Junior Kinu Rochford (Brooklyn, N.Y./James Madison) had his second-straight big game for the Knights as he recorded his second-straight double-double with 18 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.  Junior Melquan Bolding (Mt. Vernon, N.Y./Bishop Stepinac) added 12 points in his Knights' debut, while grad student George Goode (Raytown, MO/Raytown South) chipped in a career-best 10 points.

Scouting Saint Peter's: The Peacocks (0-2) come into Friday's contest losers in their first two chances of the season.  Saint Peter's opened its season with a 72-65 loss at Buffalo on Nov. 11 before falling in its home opener to NEC-foe Robert Morris this past Tuesday night, 69-52.

Junior guard Chris Prescott leads the Peacocks in scoring over the first two contests, averaging 15.5 points per game and has gone 7-for-20 from three-point range (35.0 percent).  Junior guard Yvon Raymond has come off the bench to be Saint Peter's second-leading scorer (11.0 ppg) and leads the team rebounding (8.0 rpg).  He is shooting 58.8 percent from the floor (10-for-17).  Junior forward Karee Ferguson is the third Peacock scoring in double-figures at 10.0 points per game.

Saint Peter's is also coming off a trip to the NCAA Tournament last season in which they fell to Purdue, 65-43.

All-Time Series: This will be the 52nd meeting in the all-time series between the two New York City metro area schools that are located less than 20 miles apart on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River.  Saint Peter's leads the series, 38-13, and have won three-straight, including a thriller last season, 60-57, in Jersey City, NJ.  The Knights last defeated the Peacocks on Dec. 22, 2007, 85-74, at Stratis Arena.  FDU holds an 8-5 advantage all-time at home against Saint Peter's.
