The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's soccer team will take its final road trip of the season with contests at Robert Morris and Saint Francis (PA) this weekend. The Knights will take on Robert Morris at 1:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 21 and will face SFPA on Sunday, Oct. 22 at noon.
The Knights have fallen in their last four matches and will be looking to add their first win away from University Stadium. They are 4-9-1 on the season with a 1-6 record in Northeast Conference play. Senior Rashidah Sherman (Pelham Manor, NY/Pelham Memorial) currently leads the Knights with eight points from three goals and two assists. Classmate Lisa-Marie Curti (Richmond Hill, Ontario/St. Theresa of Lisieux) has added two goals to the Knights' total.
Senior goal keeper Stephanie Tazni will lead the FDU backline. Tanzi has averaged 3.13 goals against this season and has made 46 saves in seven games.
Robert Morris has produced a 9-6-1 record with an even 3-3 mark in conference. The Colonials most recently fell to Garden-State foe, Monmouth, 2-0.
Ayana Davis currently leads RMU and the conference with 24 points, including 11 goals and two assists. Rachel Sebbens has added 13 points with five goals and three assists.
With an average of 12.9 shots a game the Colonials have earned 1.88 goals per game and currently lead the conference with 86 points and 30 goals.
Jessica Olin has played 14 games between the posts and has accumulated a save percentage of .779.
The Knights defeated RMU, 2-1 in 2010.
After Friday's game the Knights will head east to Altoona, PA for a matchup with the Red Flash of SFPA on Sunday.
The Red Flash are 9-5-1 on the season and are currently on a three-game win streak. SFPA was crowed the 2010 NEC Tournament Champion and has lived up to its first-place preseason poll ranking with an undefeated 5-0-1 start to conference play this year.
Tesa McKibben leads the Red Flash with an NEC high of 24 points. McKibben has scored 10 of SFPA's 23 goals and has recorded four assists.
SFPA averages 12.1 shots per game and has scored an average of 1.53 goals per game. Brianna Butcher has allowed 16 goals and has accumulated 78 saves and a save percentage of .830. She has also produced six shutouts.
After the weekend road trip the Knights will host their final game of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 pm. The matchup with in-state rival Monmouth will also be senior day for the Knights' nine graduating seniors.
