The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (2-3, 1-0 NEC) looks to improve to 2-0 in Northeast Conference play as they play the second of two-straight home games by taking on Central Connecticut State at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Knights will be looking to start conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2006-07 season when they defeated Quinnipiac and Wagner in back-to-back NEC games.
FDU is coming off a 78-68 victory over Bryant Thursday night at Stratis Arena, giving the Knights their first home victory of the season and first 1-0 start in NEC play since 2006-07. Also, the Knights are looking for their first three-game win streak since the 2007-08 season when the won three in-a-row over a stretch in mid-December.
The Blue Devils are 4-2 (1-0 NEC) on the season after dropping a 92-57 decision Monday night at Providence. CCSU won its NEC opener last Saturday, 54-50, in overtime at home versus Monmouth.
After playing CCSU, the Knights will hit the road for four-straight games, beginning with Connecticut in Storrs, CT on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. The Knights will not play at home until Jan. 2 when they host Lafayette at 4:00 p.m.
The Series Versus Central Connecticut State: The Knights are meeting CCSU for the 29th time, holding 16-13 lead in the series. Each team won on its home floor last season, with the Knights winning in Hackensack, 83-74, and the Blue Devils winning in New Britain, 77-67. FDU holds a 9-5 advantage at Stratis Arena.
