Men's Basketball To Conclude Road Swing at Saint Peter's on Saturday

The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (3-6) will be looking to end a three-game losing streak as they conclude its four-game non-conference road trip by taking on Garden State rival Saint Peter's on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Yanitelli Center in Jersey City, NJ.

FDU is coming off a 79-65 loss at Rutgers this past Tuesday.  Senior Mike Scott (Philadelphia, PA/Texas Christian) tied a career high with 23 points and made all 11 of his free throw attempts to tie a career high.  He also knocked down a career-best four three-point field goals.

Saint Peter's (5-4) comes into the game riding a three-game win streak and winners in five of its last six contests.  Like the Knights, the Peacocks started the season out 0-3.  Last time out, Saint Peter's defeated Wagner, 51-50, in Staten Island.

After playing Saint Peter's, the Knights will have the next two weeks off before returning home to Stratis Arena on Sunday, Jan. 2, to take on Lafayette.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

The Series Versus Saint Peter's: The Knights and the Peacocks will be meeting for the 50th time and have played each other over the last eight seasons.  Saint Peter's holds a 37-12 advantage in the series and has won the last two meetings, including last year in Hackensack, 83-68.  The Knights last defeated the Peacocks on Dec. 22, 2007, an 85-74 victory at Stratis Arena.  FDU is 5-28 all-time in games played at Saint Peter's.

The game will be broadcast over the radio on WFDU 89.1 FM and online at www.fduknights.com.
