Baseball Falls in Game Three at LIU on Saturday, 8-6

BROOKLYN, NY - The Fairleigh Dickinson University baseball team was defeated by Northeast Conference foe Long Island University, 8-6, on Saturday, April 15. Senior right fielder Ben Cass hit a solo home run for the Knights (7-22, 5-7 NEC).

Senior right-hander Rick Franceschi suffered his first loss of the season in his third start., tossing 4.2 innings.

Senior catcher Matt Born drove in two runs and collected two hits, while freshman third baseman Brian Luchsinger and freshman shortstop Jeff Vincent drove in one run each.

The Knights travel to St. John's University for a re-scheduled doubleheader at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18.
