Fairleigh Dickinson Women's Volleyball Falls to Siena in Four Games

HACKENSACK, NJ - The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's volleyball team (10-16) dropped a 3-1 match to visiting Siena (12-11) on Friday evening at the Rothman Center. Despite winning the first game, 30-20, the Knights fell in the next three, 30-27, 30-28 and 30-22.

Sophomore Elena Schmidt (Nevada City, CA) led the Knights with 13 kills and three aces, while freshman Megan Philbrick (Seabrook, MD) added nine kills. Sophomore Ruth Levy (Cary, NC) recorded 42 assists and classmate Lauren Lombardo (New Castle, PA) posted 19 digs. Schmidt and sophomore Rebecca Tenney (Yorktown, VA) each had three blocks.

Two Saints posted double-digit kills, with sophomore Nadiege Honore (San Fernando, Trinidad) leading the way with a match-high 17. Junior Christie Gustafson (Rochester, NY) notched 15 kills. Freshman April London (Woodbury, MN) handed out 41 assists and freshman Kathi Kobayashi (Aiea, Hawaii) had 15 digs.

The Knights are back in action on Sunday, October 23 at 4:00 p.m. when they host Long Island in a Northeast Conference match.
