FDU Knights Athletics

2013: Saw action in all 29 matches, including 10 starts, and was one of three Knights to play in all 106 sets.. Finished second on the team with 214 kills and fifth in total blocks with 40 and block-assists with 36... Constructed seven matches with double-digit kills, including a season-high 16 to go along with a season-best nine digs in a 3-2 loss at Bucknell (9/13)... Had two other near-miss double-doubles with a 10-kill, eight-dig performance against Saint Peter's (9/6) and a 12-kill, eight-dig performance in a 3-2 win over NJIT (9/18)...Tallied 13 kills and four-block assists in a 3-1 loss at St. Francis Brooklyn (10/12)... Recorded 12 kills, four digs, four block-assists and a service ace in a 3-2 loss to Sacred Heart (10/19)... Finished with 15 kills, three digs, and two block-assists in a 3-2 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn (10/27)... Produced 11 kills, four digs and three block-assists in a 3-2 win over Bryant (11/9)... End up with a season-high five total blocks (all block-assists), six kills and three digs in a 3-1 loss at Bryant (10/6)... Named to Northeast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.75 GPA or higher)...

Kovensky hails from Highland, Calif. and played volleyball at Citrus Valley High School, where she was tabbed First Team All-League after her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns... Kovensky was also a four-year member of the honor roll, a three-year member of the National Honors Society and the California Scholarship Federation all four years... She played club volleyball for Rancho Valley Volleyball Club and plans to major in pre-med and biochemistry at FDU.
