Fairleigh Dickinson University Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Ira Miller announced the addition of Todd Maston to the Knights' coaching staff, beginning January of 2006. He joins the program as a part-time assistant coach and will assist in all facets related to the men's and women's programs.
Maston joins the ranks of college coaching at Fairleigh Dickinson's after 12 years of professional teaching experience. Maston spent time with the Harlem (NY) Junior Tennis Program, Haworth (NJ) Racquet Club, Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, NJ, Paum Tennis Academy in Paramus, NJ and the Tenafly (NJ) Racquet Club.
Maston played for a short stint at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD in 1994 as a first singles player. He is United States Professional Tennis Registry and United States Professional Tennis Association Certified and has held the position of USPTR Eastern Section President.
The Knights' new assistant was ranked in the 2004 Men's Division 29, and in 2003 held ranking in the Men's 35 Division 26.
"We are very happy to have someone with Todd's extensive teaching and playing experience joining our staff," Miller said. "He will be a great addition to both programs."
