Jen Quirk was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance in August of 2021. She had preciously served as the Associate AD for Compliance and Academics, a role which she started in June 2015. In her current role, she is responsible for the overall education, administration and monitoring of NCAA compliance for the Division 1 Campus as well as providing oversight to the Academic and Student-Athlete Support Services Office, as well as serving as the liaison for admissions and residence life.

Quirk assists the athletic director in the administration of the Knights’ 19 sport teams, as well as, acts as the sports supervisor for Bowling, Men's and Women's Golf, and Lacrosse. She also serves as the chief liaison with the NCAA Eligibility Center (Clearinghouse) and certifies all student-athletes for initial and continuing eligibility. She is also the primary contact for rules interpretation.
 
Quirk was named Director of Student-Athlete Support Services in August 2002 and promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Academics in 2006.  In this position, Quirk, supervised the academic advisement and monitored the Fairleigh Dickinson student-athletes, advised the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and conducted wellness seminars aimed at improving the overall welfare of all student-athletes.

Quirk has served Fairleigh Dickinson since 1999 as an Academic Counselor in the Academic Advisement Center.  She brings with her a great understanding of the University, its students, policies, philosophies and programs.  In her role as a counselor, Quirk advises students on course selection, substitutions, off-campus verifications, determination of majors and the course validation process.

In her time with FDU athletics, the student-athletes’ grade point averages have been risen to be over 3.0 cumulatively for 19 straight semesters.
 
Prior to coming to Fairleigh Dickinson, Quirk held the position of Athletic Academic Counseling Intern at Indiana University for a year and a half.  In this position she was responsible for verifying academic eligibility, registration of freshmen student-athletes, course planning programs and tutorial services.
 
A native of LaGrange, Indiana, Quirk received her bachelor's degree in Communication/Sport Management with a minor in Recreation Management from Bluffton College (now Bluffton University) in 1997.  She was a four-year member of the women's tennis team at Bluffton where she earned four straight All-Conference honors and participated in and developed NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills programs.  In her senior season at Bluffton, she was named the Kathryn E. Little Female Athlete of the Year.  She went on to earn a master's in Kinesiology with a concentration in College Student Personnel and Athletic Administration from Indiana University in 1998.  She also served as an associate instructor at Indiana while earning her degree.
 
She is married to Brian Quirk, a physical education teacher, varsity women’s golf coach (2011 coach of the year) and junior varsity girls volleyball coach at Ridgewood High School.  The couple currently resides in Oakland, N.J. with their son Brady and daughter Cammi.
 
Quirk is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) and currently serves as the Region 2 NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship Committee Chair and is on the NCAA Degree Completion Committee.
