Raquel Orozco entered her first year as a graduate assistant with the Fairleigh Dickinson media relations office in 2022-23.
Prior to joining FDU, Orozco worked as a Student-Athlete Development Intern for San Diego State University. Orozco supported over 200 student-athletes in their personal growth, civic engagement, and career development, while also assisting in event planning, special projects, university seminar courses, compliance, and academic mentoring.Â
Orozco served as a Sports Info and Communications Intern for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she worked closely with the communications team representing the voice of the athletes through website content and social media posts. She led the social media coverage and live statistics for the 2021 Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament and 2021 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Tournament.
Orozco graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a dual minor in Economics and Global Studies. While at FDU, she is working towards her Master in Higher Education Administration.Â
