Marco Masucci

Marco Masucci enters his first year as the Interim Head Coach of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Women’s Soccer team.  Masucci served as the assistant coach during the 2011 season.  He was responsible for on-field training, team travel and recruiting.  In his first season as assistant coach, Masucci brought in 14 new players, the largest recruiting class in program history.

Prior to joining the staff at FDU, Masucci served as the head coach at Dawson College from 2007 to 2010.  Masucci compiled a record of 26-7-5 at Dawson, while leading the team to the Collegiate Conference title just two years after the team finished in last place with a record of 1-6-3. 

Between 2009 and 2011, Masucci served on the U20 and Senior Canadian National Team staff under Head Coach Carolina Morace.  

Masucci has also led several elite club teams to success.  Between 2007 and 2008 he guided the Lac St-Louis Lakers to an overall record of 35-5-9.  The U16 girls team was named the Quebec Cup champion and won the 2008 Canadian National Championship.  Masucci earned Quebec Coach of the Year honors, while the team was named the Regional Soccer Team and Regional Sports Team of the Year after the national championship.

From 2003 to 2005, Masucci acted as the General Manager and Director of Operations of the Laval Dynamites of the Canadian Professional Soccer League.

The Montreal, Quebec native began coaching in 1999 and has since coached several elite club teams and players currently on the rosters of the U17, U20 and Senior Canadian National Teams.

Masucci currently serves as the Head Coach of the New Jersey Olympic Development Program U16 girls team.  Last season, he served as assistant coach to the U15 girls team that reached the final four of the Region I tournament.

As a graduate of Concordia University, Masucci earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and currently possesses a CSA B License for coaching.  Masucci is currently pursuing a Master’s of Sport Administration from FDU.
