Christian Mordi entered his first season with the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in the 2021-22 campaign. Mordi serves as the women's basketball Director of Player Development.Â
Prior to his journey starting with the Knights, Mordi served as a high-level youth basketball coach. In 2018, Mordi coached 17U Elite and 16U EYBL teams for the Nike-sponsored NYC Exodus program.Â
From 2015 to 2017, Mordi served as the Associate Head Coach at Christ the King High School in Newark, New Jersey. Mordi focused on skill development, film breakdown and scouting. He would help the varsity program make leaps from a 13-13 record in 2015, to a 15-11 record in 2016, and ultimately in a 23-5 in 2017.
Mordi began his coaching career in 2010 as a special assistant at Kean University. During his tenure there, he edited film for team for practice analysis. He also worked with the forwards, including 2010-11 National Player of the Year and First Team All-American Jonathan Jones.
In addition to his work in the realm of coaching, Mordi would work as an editor for SLAM Magazine. Mordi increased traffic on the site under the women's basketball tab, analyzing and interviewing WNBA and women's collegiate players, including some of the most decorated WNBA players in history, such as Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Cappie Pondexter, Skylar Diggins and more. He also was the host of the SLAM Basketball Podcast during his time with the brand.
Mordi graduated from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 2012 with his Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies.Â
