Ashley Cieplicki enters her third season as an assistant coach with the women's basketball team.
 
Cieplicki joined FDU after coaching two seasons at Holy Family University, a Division II school in Philadelphia. At Holy Family, Cieplicki assisted in team practices and individual workouts, team scouting reports and recruiting, while being responsible for film editing, film exchange, team travel and team equipment. Holy Family made two trips to the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament, including a trip to the finals of the East Region last season.
 
Prior to coaching at Holy Family, Cieplicki worked for the WNBA’s New York Liberty during the summer of 2010, handling film and exchange duties.
 
Cieplicki was a four-year member of the Rowan University women’s basketball team and competed in two NJAC Tournaments over her final two seasons. She was named All-NJAC as a junior at the forward position and was co-captain during her senior season.
 
A native of Bergen County, Cieplicki grew up in Haworth, N.J. and attend Dumont High School in Dumont, N.J. where she played for her father Dave, who is a legendary high school basketball coach. She was a four-year varsity player, three-time member of the All-Bergen County Team, scored over 1,000 points and was named to the New Jersey Group 2 All-State Team.
 
Cieplicki’s uncle, Keith Cieplicki, is the former women’s basketball head coach at Vermont and Syracuse.
 
Cieplicki earned a B.S. in Health and Exercise Sciences from Rowan in 2009 and is currently working toward her master’s in Sports Administration from FDU.
