Chris Brickley

Chris Brickley enters his second season as an assistant coach with the FDU men's basketball program, where he is responsible for  recruiting and team scouting.
 
Brickley came to FDU after serving as an Administrative Assistant at Ole Miss during the 2010-2011 season, where he focused on player development. The Rebels went 20-14 and earned an NIT birth. 
 
Before joining the coaching ranks, Brickley graduated from the University of Louisville in 2010, where he played for legendary Head Coach Rick Pitino. While at Louisville, Brickley was a member of two Elite Eight teams, one Big East regular season Championship and one Big East Tournament Championship.  His senior season was highlighted by playing 15 minutes vs. UNC Charlotte, scoring three points and dishing out three assists. Brickley also scored field goals versus Arkansas, UNLV, Appalachian State and Stetson. During his time at Louisville, Brickley played with Samardo Samuels (Cleveland Cavaliers), Earl Clark (Orlando Magic), Terrence Williams (Houston Rockets) and Derrick Caracter (Los Angeles Lakers).  Currently, Brickley conducts player development sessions in the offseason for many NBA players around the New York City area.

Prior to Louisville, Brickley played his freshman season at Northeastern University and backed up current Minnesota Timberwolves player J.J. Barea. His freshman season was highlighted by scoring 12 points in an exhibition game versus Team Puerto Rico.
 
Brickley, who is a native of Manchester, NH, played his high school basketball at nationally-ranked Trinity High School. He was a two-time First Team All-State honoree and ihighsports.com New Hampshire Player of The Year in 2005. He was also a Hoop Scoop top-150 recruit coming out of high school.

Off the court, Brickley has done of work as a motivational speaker. He has spoken to many Elementary Schools and Basketball Camps. Brickley is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education.
