Will Delgado

Will Delgado is in his first season as a member of the FDU baseball program's coaching staff.

Delgado arrives in Teaneck following a three-year tenure at Mercy College.  In Coach Delgado’s time at Mercy he was responsible for coordinating team affairs, as well as, offensive and defensive player development. He also served as the team's hitting coach. In his first year as assistant in 2018, he helped Head Coach Chris Schoen with recruiting efforts.
 
In addition to coaching Mercy, in 2017 Delgado was also involved as an assistant coach for the Brewster Whitecaps in the well-known Cape Cod Baseball League. He also held the title of MLB liaison and was responsible for insuring that scouts in attendance had detailed stats and information on each player. 
 
A native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Will and his four siblings were raised in Winter Park, Florida.  Delgao played baseball, basketball and football at Lake Howell High School in Seminole County.
 
After graduating, Delgado went on to play for Dan Blue at Catonsville Community College in Baltimore County where he was a two-year starter and helped his club make the Region XX DII Baseball Tournament in the first year.  In Delgado's brief stint at CCBC he also able to complete his Associate’s Degree in Health and Fitness.
 
Delgado went on to play at NCAA Division III Keystone College under Head Coach Jamie Shevchik. At Keystone, Delgado helped lead the Giants ts to wins against Cortland in the regional tournament and an appearance in the Division III National Tournament. Delgado also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Keystone.
