BRIDGEWATER, N.J.- Mila Samardzija has been named the NEC/Molten Rookie of the Month for the third time this season. The freshman played in all five sets for the Knights in their one match last week. 

Versus Temple, Samardzija recorded 12 kills and 15 digs, marking her fourth double-double of the season. Defensively, she also added a career-topping five solo blocks.

Samardzija was joined as an NEC Prime Performer by fellow newcomer Kiah Lopez. The Knights return to action on Oct. 2, when they host Mercyhurst for the NEC opener.
